i seem to always be attracted to anything black with zippers and most definitely if its a mini. i like this aa version of the simple black zipper dress because its off the shoulder and because its loose fitting, totally opposite from the usual bodycon minidress. i havent tried wearing the zipper in the back yet, but i have worn it open as a jacket/vest and it works pretty well. this photo was taken at la cita last thursday. its one of my favorite bars in downtown.
i will be spending the rest of the night today and tomorrow working on a few garments. we will be debuting our stuff and selling at the collective souls flea market next saturday. im pretty excited and anxious at the same time. its always nerve-racking to have your work judged, but on the plus side its really rewarding to see your things being worn and loved by other people. i will post a flyer and info for the flea market later on this week.

messy living room due to redecoration. it wont be complete till next week. i just bought a pastel blue sewing table. it looks very vintage, i love it. im still hoping to find a dress form soon. i just dont want spend an arm and a leg for it. ive been wanting to do a marni inspired necklace for a long time and i finally had some downtime last week to complete it. its different, but i like it. i might make a few more in the near future.

im sorry i have been such a horrible blogger this past week. im in the process of redecorating my loft and ive also been sewing non stop the last few days. im wearing a new top that roxie and i designed and sewed. its a floral crop top with fringe around the collar. we only have a few made for sale because the floral is a vintage fabric we found at a thrift store and there was only about 4 yards of it. i think the print is quite charming and the fringe gives it an extra pop. we also made it with white fringe too. ill keep you posted once we get some kind of online store up. as for now, im just sharing and documenting our creative process. thanks for all your positive feedback. we really appreciate it!

im working on a project with roxie on a line of skirts, tops, and necklaces we are going to be making. we are still in the process of deciding a name for ourselves and possibly setting up an online store or what not, so maybe im getting a little ahead of myself, but im so excited about it i had to share with you all. this is our first finished garment. its a super short mini skirt with hot pink fringe all around. it looks really cute on. i will keep you guys posted on when we set everything up and when we finish more garments. till then, if you have any ideas, comments, suggestions, ect. i would love to hear them! honest opinions are always appreciated.
