When in doubt, wear all black. That being said, I wear black quite often. This vintage velvet maxi dress was quite an exceptional thrift find for me. I just about lost it when I tried it on and it was a perfect fit. I remember wanting a velvet maxi so bad when I was in junior high and never found one. Kind of ironic that decades later I find one and I still want it. Hmmm does that mean my style has barely evolved since 7th grade? Honestly, I'm okay with that.
