My name is Yuka Iwasaki and I'm from Los Angeles, California. I graduated from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in 2012 and am currently working as a designer in DTLA. I started Pretty in Leather in 2009 as an outlet to create and share my inspirations, designs, DIYS, and daily outfits. While watching the 80's cult classic, Pretty in Pink, the garment that came to mind when relating to Molly Ringwald was no frilly pink dress, but instead my trusty leather jacket. I've always had an affinity for rugged pieces and love dressing to appease my femininity while simultaneously looking badass. Pretty in Leather is defined by moments like these where delicate and tough intersect.
