a few weeks ago, when the weather was much warmer, i had lunch with my dear friend tommy. he's one of my favorite menswear bloggers, and our conversations are always insightful and hilarious. i wore a preppy inspired outfit for the occassion. the word preppy is not usually in my vocabulary when i am asked to describe my style. you can imagine my shock when i threw this ensemble together and thought "oh em gee, im looking kind of kate spade right now." and yet it totally worked for me because i felt completely comfortable in it. note to self: experimenting outside your comfort zone can sometimes lead to great results.
