DTLA on Superbowl Sunday was a complete ghost town. As a person who does not watch sports, I was delighted when the city streets became my personal playground for a few hours. Of the two teams playing, a little part of me was rooting for the Broncos, simply because a few of my coworkers were betting on them. And being the good friend that I am, I even wore a little bit of their team colors for the day to silently cheer for them. Yay! They won!

These little velvet kitten heels are my favorites at the moment. We are definitely seeing a resurgence of the kitten heel and I'm quite happy about that. It took a while for me to come around, but once I did I never turned back! The kitten heel is here to stay! I prefer a block heel over a skinny one, and velvet is always a plus in my book, so these ones are a dream. I will be wearing this with all my jeans this summer, count on it.

When a city becomes empty it feels a bit creepy no? For some reason the week prior to SB50, traffic on the Bay Area peninsula during commute times became very light; it felt so strange! Love this outfit and the shoot, the sweater hem and slit details are gorgeous.
