snow much fun

Hello from our second day in Tahoe! It was the day after NYE, the 1st of January 2016, and what better way to kick off the year than to go sledding? I borrowed this chunky scarf from Roxie and it was a lifesaver! She got the scarf in Mexico and the quality of the thing is amazing! It kept me super warm throughout the weekend.



Sledding for the first time ever was so much fun! I loved every second of it! It was slightly scary but exhilarating at the same time. If you're looking for something fun to do to in the snow that is less stressful than skiing or snowboarding, sledding is the way to go!



Isn't this the most majestic photo ever? It looks like it belongs in an LL Bean catalog. haha. While we were in the middle of a snowball fight a man walking his wolf-like dog passed by us. The dog was immediately drawn to Alex and they made the most photogenic pair. I was so glad I had my camera handy to capture the moment.

I wore a pretty casual outfit and kept myself extra warm with my under layers. If you're looking for good under layers for cold weather, I would definitely recommend checking out the Heattech section at Uniqlo. I wore their long sleeve shirts and leggings under everything and it really made a difference! Unfortunately I can't say the same about my trusty converse sneakers though. They definitely did not hold up in the snow (it should have been obvious), but I swapped them for my Timberlands and it was all good!
